Brian joined the Carle McLean County Orthopedics team in June of 2017. He is a physician assistant to Dr. Joseph Novotny, who treats all general orthopedic conditions with a specialty in shoulders, elbows, hands, hips, and knees.

Brian grew up in Congerville, Illinois, and attended Eureka High School, where he was a three-sport athlete participating in football, basketball, and baseball. He attended Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, IA, where he played college football and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He went on to attend St. Louis University, where he obtained a Master of Medical Science while enrolled in their Physician Assistant Program. During his time in St. Louis, he completed various rotations, including a rotation with Dr. Nathan Mall, who has provided treatment for multiple professional sports teams.
